Listen Up, I Think You Need A Pep Talk

I was recently introduced to the website Ted.com through one of my courses at Full Sail University. Browsing through the “Best of the Web” I came across one of the cutest and inspiring videos. Well actually, I had seen the video previously when it went viral a couple months ago. A nine-year-old by the name of Robby Novak a.k.a Kid President delivered a motivating and witty pep talk.

We all need a pep talk every once in a while especially when you may be feeling discouraged. A friend of mine named Ruth sent this video to me and it instantly brightened up my day. This adorable little guy managed to make me feel like I could do anything. After watching the video a few times I said to myself, “I need to get the ball rolling.” To sum it all up, he basically says to stop be lazy and do something with your life in an inspiring and humorous way. If you have a dream, put in the work and make it happen. “We can cry about it or dance about it. We were made to be awesome. Lets get out there.” I love this statement. The way I interpret is that we all have a special gift/talent and you’re in control of your destiny, so it’s up to you whether or not you choose to make your dreams come to reality.

Yes, it’s true that kids can say the darnest things sometimes. In this case, Kid President shared some encouraging words, which has been viewed by millions. I applaud this young fella for spreading a positive message and encouraging people to do better. I definitely see a bright future for Robby and can’t wait to see what else he has in store for us.
